From Africa to Europe
Proximity & Open Country

Hosting the World Cup has become a privilege sought by each and every nation for the enormous benefits to be accrued: worldwide exposure, business, tourism and even political advantages. Africa will host  World Cup 2010.Morocco, more then ever, appear to have the right economic stuff  to be a successful host. Morocco actually have a better shot at getting the World Cup. Its crime rate is low, the infrastructure is adequate and its soccer tradition is as good as anybody's in Africa. It's also an Arab country, which is significant, since FIFA could, in one move, reward both the Arab world and Africa.

More importantly, it's right on the Mediterranean, which means it is easily accessible, unlike South Africa which, unless you happen to Namibian or Zimbabwean, is pretty much far away from everything. Morocco's proximity to Europe would have ensured lots of fans day-tripping cheaply and easily across the Mediterranean from Spain, Italy, France, and Germany, etc. This means more wealthy fans in the stands and happier sponsors and this has the added benefit of kick-off times that would suit the lucrative European television market.

Benefiting from its geographical position and its history, Morocco knew globalisation before the signature of the agreements of GATT and the birth of OMC in Marrakech in 1994. And for more than forty years, we have acquired a certain experiment of the international invitations to tender and their financial requirements.

Finally, Morocco, and it is not any more to show, is a country where civil peace and the safety of the people and their goods reign.
